GIVP Contest by Logica to find Innovative Partners

Logica is looking to partner with the world's most innovative enterprises. It has kicked off its 2011 Global Innovation Venture Partner (GIVP) Programme to search for the company with the most innovative products and solutions.

Now in its fourth year, the GIVP Programme is being driven from India on a macro level and invites nominations from across seven countries - UK, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Portugal and India. The nominated companies will be judged by a Logica panel who will select a country winner. Country winners will then present before the global panel, competing to be the Global Winner of the GIVP Programme. The Global Winner will be able to work with Logica to take their solutions to Logica's clients as part of a larger value offering. It will get access to Logica's global sales resources, go-to-market support and opportunities to engage with client organizations where appropriate.

Speaking about the competition, GBS Bindra, Global Innovation Director, Logica said.

"Our GIVP Programme has been instrumental in helping us identify and partner with companies with ahead-of-the-curve solutions that generate competitive value-add for our clients. As a company committed to building sound and sustainable eco-systems, we see this programme as an important initiative through which we identify new partners. I very much look forward to the new innovation partner that this year's programme will uncover."

GIVP Programme 2010 attracted more than 500 nominations from nine countries. Eight country winners and one global winner were identified as Logica's innovation partners. The global winner for 2010 was a Swedish company - Eurostep, which has an impressive Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Secure Collaboration product. In India alone, the programme received 120 nominations, of which six were shortlisted by the panel. ConnectM Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a Bangalore-based company, emerged triumphant in 2010 with their "Energy Management Solution" which ensures savings in energy bills for commercial buildings and telecom cell sites.
