Quest Software strengthens Asia Pacific Leadership

Quest Software has appointed Barrie Sheers as vice president and general manager of its Asia-Pacific Japan (APAC-J) region. Sheers will be based in Quest's Singapore office.

Sheers comes to Quest with more than 25 years of sales and general management experience. His career highlights include leadership of Asia-Pacific operations for Sybase, in addition to executive-level sales and marketing positions at EMC, where he spent seven years leading multiple successful launches of many technology solutions to APAC-J customers.

"The Pan-Asian region continues to be among the most rapidly developing markets for IT infrastructure and systems management solutions. We expect Barrie's wealth of go-to-market strategy expertise will help expand our reach in this part of the world," said Alan Fudge, senior vice president, worldwide sales, Quest Software. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
