Assemble your own Gaming Machine in a jiffy

Kingston Technology, Gigabyte Technology and Razer are sponsoring an "ASSEMBLE YOUR OWN GAMING MACHINE"campus tour across five major cities in India. This tour encourages a "DO IT YOURSELF (DIY)" spirit amongst students, to help them better understand and differentiate between multiple gaming PC components, and to have a "hands-on" experience in the art of gaming PC assembly.

To be held between 18th & 25th March and at two leading engineering colleges each in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi, respectively, this programme will touch over 11,000 students.

"Technically qualified and digital lifestyle sensitive students demand extreme performance from their digital lifestyle assets including gaming platforms," said M. Dayanand, Programme Director, "ASSEMBLE YOUR OWN GAMING MACHINE", "Through this programme, we seek to encourage students to not only build their own high-performance gaming machines but also educate and influence peer groups to do the same," he added.

During the half-day programme at each college, students will go through a video demonstration of gaming PC assembly, followed by an instructor managed gaming machine assembly contest, and finally a visit to the gaming components and accessories display put up by the sponsors. The instructor managed gaming machine assembly contest not only tests the ability of the contestants to select the correct PC components but also their speed in assembling them perfectly. Winning student teams will receive attractive prizes from the sponsors.
