EMC India appoints Debashis Patnaik as Human Resources Head

EMC India Centre of Excellence (COE) has appointed Debashis Patnaik as the Head of the Human Resources division. Debashis will be taking over from R. Vidyasagar in this role.

Debashis will be responsible for overseeing talent acquisition, building a strong foundation in many of the key people management practices that can enable future growth, employee engagement and organizational development of the India COE, with particular reference to developing industry-leading talent within the COE.

Debashis brings over 21 years of experience with him. He joins EMC COE from Cisco Systems where he worked as Director - HR, in an HR Business Partner role for the Services Sales group within Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific. While at Cisco, Debashis helped set up a global enterprise technical support centre at Bangalore and in implementing a new organization for Emerging Market Technical Support Services. Debashis has also worked with Microsoft, Ernst & Young Consulting India, Cadence Design Systems and Hughes Software Systems in his prior assignments.
