EMC VNXe and VNX Unified Storage now shipping Worldwide

EMC Corporation has announced that EMC VNXe and VNX unified storage solutions (introduced in January 2011) are now available and shipping worldwide. The systems are available from both EMC and a wide range of distributors and resellers.

The series target small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and offer primarily through EMC partners. The EMC VNX series consolidate the leading features and functionality of the award-winning EMC CLARiiON and EMC Celerra systems into a single, powerful family of unified storage arrays that scale to datacenter-class solutions.

The VNXe series is breaking records as the world’s simplest unified storage system, providing the ability to deploy storage for hundreds of Exchange mailboxes or VMware data stores. The general availability of the VNX family of unified storage systems coincides with the new EMC 25% more efficient storage guarantee, highlighting simplicity, efficiency and power of EMC's unified storage offerings.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
