HP recognizes Enterprises for driving Environmental Sustainability in India

Hewlett-Packard has recognized enterprises that drive leading environmental strategy and approach in the printing and imaging arena through its pioneer awards platform - HP Eco Solutions Printing Award India 2011.

The HP Eco Solutions Printing Award programme, powered by IDC, was conducted in two phases - the first phase included an IDC study through an online survey of 79 enterprises in India; 12 finalists were selected out of these for a detailed onsite assessment for the next phase. The study evaluated the enterprises' current green strategy, leadership, execution and disposal in the context of the printing environment. Of these, Essar, HSBC and Infosys emerged as the winning organizations for their exceptional environmental-friendly initiatives in their printing practices.

"Sound environmental practice is just smart business," said Nitin Hiranandani, Director, Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard India.- "By optimizing resources, building intelligent environment-friendly infrastructures and driving sustainable transformation, enterprises in India can make huge leaps in not only creating environmental impact but also drive business benefits. The HP Eco Solutions Printing Award India 2011 is our way of recognizing pioneering companies that are already leading the way."

HP collaborates with its customers to help them focus on the integral role that MPS can play in helping them cut costs, increase productivity and reduce environmental footprint. IDC results show that organizations have been able to transform business processes by optimizing their imaging and printing infrastructure, effectively managing the total imaging and printing environment and improving and streamlining document workflows.
