Nokia E7 coming soon in India!

Nokia has announced a special opportunity for Indian consumers to be among the first to own the most eagerly awaited E series smartphone, the Nokia E7. D. Shivakumar, Vice-President & Managing Director, Nokia India, rang the closing bell at the Bombay Stock Exchange to signify the opening of the pre-booking for Nokia E7.

The handset has a tilting 4-inch ClearBlack display, full QWERTY keyboard and a fast access to a wide variety of applications directly on the homescreen. Importantly, the device supports business applications from leading enterprise technology partners, including Microsoft and IBM.

It offers seamless connectivity, ease of use, excellent multimedia performance and a host of productivity applications. We are confident that with the Nokia E7 we will expand the smartphone market in India."

Consumers can get their Nokia E7 by making a pre-order booking by logging on to http://www.nokia.co.in/E7 and filling an online form, along with the preference of the nearest Nokia Priority store. The concerned store will call registered consumers within 24 hours with further details of the handset and the offer. Consumers can then secure their Nokia E7 units by depositing a booking amount of Rs.3,000/- at the store.

Nokia also kick-started the Nokia E7 SmartLife Bloggers Tour - over the next one week, consumers can log on to http://apps.facebook.com/smartlifewithnokia/ to guess the cues related to the Nokia E7. Three lucky winners stand a chance to win the Nokia E7.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
