Winners of IBM Champions League announced IBM has announced winners of their successful partner programme IBM Champions League. Based on the ICC champions trophy, this unique programme was designed at providing Business Partners with an excellent opportunity to win exciting rewards. The programme was designed to bring out the best in Partners and reward them based on their performance in between November and December 2010.

The programme was valid on all System x Run Rate models, wherein the partner would accumulate runs based on the number of servers they purchased. Rewards to the partners included holiday packages, tickets to ICC world cup, mobile phones, gift vouchers, etc.

"Our System x servers are powered with innovation which allows companies to do more with fewer servers and achieve better system utilization and energy efficiency. Our IBM Champions League programme was designed to reward and recognize immense contribution made by our business partner community. I would like to thank the partners for their overwhelming participation and congratulate the winners," said Leo Joseph, Vice-President, Systems x, STG, IBM India/South Asia

The programme was divided into four leagues, namely The Super 8, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals. A partner who met 80% of his last two quarters performance would qualify for the Super 8, 90% would qualify for the Quarter Finals, 100% would qualify for the Semi Finals, and 110% would qualify for the Finals. As a result of this programme, over 340 partners participated and 98 of them won awards.
