200th LES Lite launched in Calicut

In line with its objective of "Getting closer to Customers", Lenovo has inaugurated its 200th LES Lite to expand its retail footprint in India. The LES Lite store has come up in Calicut, Kerala.

Announcing the inauguration of the 200th LES Lite, Alex Li, Vice-President - HSB (Home & SMB), Lenovo India, said, "According to IDC India's projection, India's PC market is estimated to grow 22 per cent in 2011, with a substantial part of this demand expected to come from tier 3-5 cities in India. Cognizant of this, Lenovo is significantly investing in strategic retail expansion across high potential tier 3-5 markets. LES Lites will be the engine of our growth and will help us optimally address the burgeoning PC requirements of consumers in such markets."

Alex Li added, "This 200th LES Lite is a significant milestone in our ambitious retail expansion. Our plan is to extend the LES Lites'count to 400 in the next few months. We plan to reach out to 150 untapped towns and cities in the coming days. This will enhance our business prospects and drive increased profitability in the competitive Indian PC industry."
