Amity Group adopts NComputing's technology

NComputing has announced that educational institutions under Amity Group have adopted NComputing to deploy advanced virtual desktop solutions for computer labs in its university and schools.

Amity group at the school as well as higher educational level has replaced its old PC-based computer labs with Ncomputing L 230 virtual desktop devices and vSpace virtualization software. The first phase of the rollout involved replacing few computer labs in Amity Universities and schools in Delhi and NCR.

Will Poole, Co-Chairman of the Board, NComputing, said, "NComputing is already a de-facto desktop computing procurement choice for state-run educational institutions throughout India, providing desktop computing to millions of school children in Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan."

The new computer labs at Amity deliver the same rich PC experience and access to applications, but at the fraction of the initial purchase price and with the ongoing maintenance costs of traditional PCs in a massively greener environment. Ncomputing virtual desktops use 1 to 5 watts of electricity.
