BIOSTAR unveils new Motherboard

BIOSTAR MICROTECH has rolled out its new Viotech 3100 motherboards in India. The new offering, which is now available in the market and supports Intel next-generation processor. This feature-rich product comes with on board VIA C7-D 1.6+ GHz CPU and supports FSB 800MHz. In addition, it comes integrated with high definition audio feature and VIA Power Saver Technology.

BIOSTAR Viotech 3100 covers all the latest technologies and offers great features including on-board graphics processor, which in turn helps in cutting down the cost of buying additional graphic cards. BIOSTAR Viotech 3100 comes with PCI Slot and PCI-E x16 Slot expansion slot. In addition, it is embedded with 2 x SATA2 3 GBs Connector, 1 x IDE Connector and support SATA RAID: 0, 1 storage options.

It supports a maximum of 2GB Memory and comes with 2 x DDR2 DIMM Memory Slot and is compatible with 4 x USB 2.0 Port / 2 x 2.0 Header USBs. The other major highlights of the mother board are solid capacitors, Bios flasher and bios Relief and 6-Channel HD Audio LAN. The On-board Audio is supported by Windows XP x86/ Vista x86/ Win7 x86 of version V7.500a. Viotech 3100 supports Windows XP / Vista / 7 and the standard accessories that come with Viotech 3100 are 2 x SATA Cable, 1 x I/O Shield, 1 x CD Driver and 1 x User Manual.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
