Buffalo unveils Drive Station Duo

Buffalo Technology has unveiled their power-packed Drive Station Duo. Built in with USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and eSATA interfaces, it is best suited for home as well as smaller working environments which require large data storage. Offering an easy raid configuration, this device provides an excellent speed of 5.0 Gbps for USB 3.0 and 480 Mbps for USB 2.0 and 3 Gbps with eSATA Interface.

"With data transfer speed of up to 10X faster as compared to USB 2.0, this unit is a two bay RAID-enabled drive with RAID 0 for performance and RAID 1 for redundant storage," said Susumu Kobayashi, Country Head, Buffalo Inc. The Drive Station Duo also gives additional storage to quickly back up all your multimedia files. It is compatible with Windows Server 2003/2008 and is also available with backup software, that quickly backs up your entire server system and database

The Drive Station Duo comes with Buffalo Tools, a feature loaded suite of tools planned to boost workstation performance and monitor the digital life of Windows users. It also comes with an Eco Manager mode that reduces the power consumption up to 80%.

DriveStation Duo is available in combination of two Variants - HD-WLU3/R1 Series with USB 3.0 Interface and HD-WLSU2/R1 Series with USB 2.0 and eSATA interface.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
