Kaspersky Lab among Top 3 Vendors of Consumer IT Security Software
Kaspersky Lab has announced that Gartner has ranked the company as the third- largest vendor of consumer IT security software worldwide in its annual "Market Share: Security Software, Worldwide, 2010" report published on March 30, 2011 by Ruggero Contu and Matthew Cheung.
According to Gartner, Kaspersky Lab's share of the global consumer IT security market reached 9% in 2010, a 2-percentage point increase compared to the company's 2009 results. Kaspersky Lab's consumer security revenue grew 42% in 2010, compared to the results of previous year. Since 2008, Kaspersky Lab has seen a 7% increase in its share of the consumer IT security market, significantly outperforming the growth rates of its main competitors and in 2010, the company became the third-largest vendor of consumer IT security software worldwide.
