SanDisk selects Inter Foto as Its Imaging Product Distributor

SanDisk Corporation has announced that Inter Foto India will serve as an authorized distributor for SanDisk imaging products in India. Inter Foto will make SanDisk products more readily available to Indian consumers, who may enjoy a broader range of services and convenience as a result of SanDisk's increased distribution capacity.

India is a fast-growing digital camera market, recording a healthy growth in unit sales of 76 per cent year-on-year (April-June 2010 over April-June 2009), according to IDC. SanDisk offers an array of products to meet the needs of all consumers. SanDisk Ultra memory cards are fast, reliable and rugged, allowing consumers to capture any moment under any conditions. SanDisk Extreme memory cards for DSLRs offer the fast-performance photographers need to take their skills to the next level.

"Indian consumers are growing more passionate about digital photography, and SanDisk memory cards help them do more with their cameras," said Manisha Sood, Country Manager, India & SAARC, SanDisk. "Working with Inter Foto will expand SanDisk's reach in this important market and help us teach our customers how to select the right memory cards for their cameras."

SanDisk develops some of the best memory cards available for photography fans,"said Rishabh Gupta, Managing Director, Inter Foto. "Inter Foto began with a vision to become one of the country's top distributors of advanced technology products, and working with SanDisk gives us the opportunity to carry high-quality products that offer a real benefit to our customers."

SanDisk's imaging cards often win major industry awards. For example, SanDisk's top-of-the-line imaging product, the SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory card, received the 2010 "Best Storage Media" award from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA). TIPA awards are among the most-coveted photo and imaging awards worldwide.
