Techcom enters Andhra Pradesh with Its Mobile Phones
Techcom has entered its mobile phones segment into Andhra Pradesh. With this launch, Techcom introduces their latest offering for the Indian handset market, the T35 & T65, which come with a bouquet of pre-loaded multimedia features, catering to the user on the move. The launch of the phones mark yet another business landmark for the growing company, as it brings forth a world-class range of handheld products within the reach of consumers. The new mobile devices denote a strategic move by Techcom towards becoming a leader in the "mobility market" in southern India, by building upon its core competency of providing quality products at affordable rates.
Speaking at the event, Ajay Kedia, Director, Techcom, said, "After receiving a fantastic response in Karnataka, we are looking to open up newer fronts in the markets of southern India. We see Andhra Pradesh as a market with immense potential and the move will help us in consolidating our presence in this part of the country. With deeper penetration of mobile telephony into semi-urban and rural areas, the market is slated to grow further."
Techcom plans to invest over Rs.100 crore in major brand building exercise in the next three years. Keeping in mind the prospects of the market in Andhra Pradesh, the company has allocated about Rs.10 crore (10% of the budget) for the state. Techcom has already entered Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh becomes the other significant part of the south Indian market, which it looks to garner significant market share in.
The company has a band of seven entry- and mid-level handsets, and adding to them are the T35 & T65 handsets - each comprising of feature-rich and competitively priced dual SIM GSM models. The handsets have been modelled keeping in mind the youth in urban and semi-urban cities, which are stylish, on the move, confident, vivacious and, above all, value for money. The new mobile handsets are dual SIM (GSM+GSM) basic sets with excellent quality and features that make it stand out in competition to any other mobile phone in the similar bracket.
