Blue Coat uses IPv6 Secure Web Gateway Solution

Blue Coat Systems has announced it is using its IPv6 Secure Web Gateway solution to enable the secure and seamless migration of applications, services and content between IPv4 and IPv6 environments for World IPv6 Day. The Blue Coat IPv6 Secure Web Gateway and IPv6 WAN Optimization solutions have been deployed by global companies, including NTT.

Qing Li, Chief Scientist, Blue Coat Systems, said, "The Blue Coat ProxySG appliance is the only solution in the industry that can both rate new and unknown IPv6 Web content in real time and optimize that content over the WAN, making the transition between IPv4 and IPv6 environments seamless for users."

During World IPv6 Day, companies will make their Websites available over IPv6 for a 24-hour test period. The goal is to motivate organizations, including service providers, content providers and hardware vendors, to prepare their services and products for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition from IPv4 addresses.

To minimize network disruption and simplify migration, Blue Coat ProxySG appliances consistently enforce corporate IT policies across IPv4 and IPv6 applications and content spaces. The ProxySG appliance received theIPv6 Application Solution Pioneer Award from the IPv6 Forum in 2010.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
