Mahindra Powerol unveils new range of UPS Products

Mahindra Powerol has launched Intelli series of UPS products packed with advanced features for use in home and small offices. The company, which currently markets its UPS systems in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and a few select parts of the country, plans to have a pan-India presence by next year. The Powerol division currently has revenues of Rs.1,000 crore, with diesel gen sets business contributing a major share. The UPS division contributes about Rs.30 crore and is likely to be a Rs.10-crore business this year.

Launching its new range of UPS systems, Palaniappan said that the company is looking at being a total energy solutions provider for not just businesses through backup diesel gen sets but also to home and small office segment users. The company now has Eco, Hi-speed and Intelli range of UPS systems, which are manufactured at two facilities based in Tamil Nadu and Himachal Pradesh.

The company's power solutions range starts from 250 VA and goes up to 5 kVA. To reach out, the company is also in the process of expanding its distributors even as it adds more sales points to its network of over 3,000.
