Mahindra Satyam inaugurates Smart Grid CDC

Expanding its Utility Solutions into Smart Grid, Mahindra Satyam has inaugurated a Smart Grid Customer Demonstration Centre (CDC) at the 120-acre Mahindra Satyam Technology Centre campus in Hyderabad. The CDC will help customers understand the next-generation technology in real time and evaluate various technologies underlying the smart grid ecosystem.

The CDC has been developed in collaboration with Schneider Electric India, using components of Schneider Electric, and will also function as a platform to develop innovative solutions such as Cloud-based Analytics, Smart Grid Security & Interoperability, and Real-time Demand Response.

Vijayanand Vadrevu, Chief Strategy Officer, Mahindra Satyam, said, "The centre will showcase the benefits of the ongoing smart grid technological revolution and will allow customers to test various components in real-life environment."

Arvind Kasturirangan, Head, Alliances & Acquisitions, Schneider Electric India, said, "In India, the demand-supply gap of electricity is huge. This energy dilemma cannot be resolved without innovative solutions to help consumers, including residential, commercial and industrial to make the most of their energy."

By providing complete consulting, product engineering, design, evaluation and implementation services in the smart grid domain, Mahindra Satyam will deliver comprehensive services of its kind.
