Nokia E6 with Symbian Anna now in India

Nokia has announced its pre-order scheme for the Nokia E6, Touch and Type business smartphone. Nokia E6 will be amongst the first of the Symbian Anna smartphones to be launched in India.

Consumers can experience the Nokia E6 live at Nokia Priority stores, in select cities and towns across the country. To get the Nokia E6, consumers need to log on to www.nokia.co.in/E6, fill an online form and indicate their preference for the nearest Nokia Priority store. On receiving a call (within 24 hours) from the store, consumers can secure their Nokia E6 by depositing a booking amount of Rs.2,000/.

The Nokia E6 offers a good battery life and out-of-the-box Microsoft messaging experience on a business smartphone, including access to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Communicator Mobile and Microsoft SharePoint.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
