Beetel unveils latest mobile phones

Beetel has launched its latest range of mobile devices GD 310 and GD 218 for the Indian market with dual sim, sleek design and attractive features priced at Rs.1799 and Rs. 1499 respectively.

Beetel GD 310 has VGA Camera for audio/video recording, one touch torch light, superior sound quality and twin memory card slots of 8GB and 2GB each. In addition, users can also access "Beetel World" with infotainment features like Schedule SMS, Call Blacklist, Indian Calendar, Mobile Tracker, Private Menu and Emergency SMS. Beetel GD 218 is a dual sim mobile device with 1800mAh marathon battery. It has features like video play of .3GP, .AVI, .MP4 format up to 30fps and MP3 playback facility. GD 218 supports MIDI, AMR, and WAV formats of music and is equipped with a 1.8 inches screen, FM Radio and it can support expandable memory up to 8GB storage capacity. GD 218 also offers "Beetel World" packed with a number of infotainment features like Yahoo, ibibo, Vuclip, Reuters, Hungama and Penguin.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
