BT Opens New Tech Showcase in New Delhi

BT has announced an update to its investment plan in India and the broader Asia Pacific region at the opening of its New Delhi Technology showcase. The new facility is part of BT's ongoing investment plan in Asia Pacific, aimed at delivering enhanced service delivery capabilities as customers invest throughout the region. These enhancements help multinational companies succeed in their business opportunities in India and the rest of the region, and help Indian corporations operate in other parts of the world.

At the event, BT announced it is creating more than 60 new critical roles in India as part of the previously announced Asia Pacific expansion plan. The new jobs will be in sales enablement, delivery and implementation of services for customers.

Kevin Taylor, President, BT Global Services Asia Pacific, said, "India is a critical component to BT's success and vision and is a key location to a large number of global companies. Many of our customers are expanding into India and we are investing to extend our communications infrastructure and services to support their growth. We have a long history of investment, a strong customer base and an excellent product and solution offering in this country, the latest example of which may be seen in the New Delhi showcase, bringing to life the opportunities offered by a networked, converged world."

The opening of BT's New Delhi showcase follows the launch of BT Showcases in Hong Kong in September 2010, Beijing in November 2010, Sydney in January 2011 and Singapore in March 2011. These showcases are networked with BT's showcase centers in London and New York - thus providing a truly global experience.
