Infosys looks to triple China revenues; to invest $100 m Infosys, which has announced $100 million investment in China, is aiming to triple revenues from the country from the current $80 million -in about three years. Currently, Infosys has 3,300 people working for it in China of whom only 150 are Indians and most of the rest, Chinese. Infosys entered China in 2004 and has so far invested $25 million.

"But the number will go up fast. The headcount in China would go up to 10,000 over the next 2-3 years. The company is building a campus in Shanghai. The $100 million would be spent (mostly on the campus) over the next 2-3 years. Infosys looked at China from two angles - as a market for its services and as a source of talent," said Rangarajan Vellamore, Chief Executive Officer, Infosys Technologies (China) Co. Ltd.
