Microsemi acquires Brijot Imaging Systems

Microsemi Corp. has acquired millimeter-wave technology and related assets of Brijot Imaging Systems Inc. Brijot Imaging Systems offers its products in Asia, the U.S., the Middle East, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation, and other CIS regions.

Microsemi plans to combine its existing millimeter-wave technology to Brijot's technology. This, according to Microsemi, will help the company lead the passive millimeter wave imaging market. The particular market segment plays a key role in detection of weapons and contraband in airports, military branches, and government and law enforcement agencies.

David Hall, VP, Microsemi's RFIS group said, "This acquisition strengthens Microsemi's millimeter-wave technology offering in the 70-100GHz range. The high quality products engineered by Brijot complement our product portfolio. The specific terms of the transaction was not disclosed."
