Nokia announces Full Throttle Treatment with New Nokia X7

Nokia has announced the Nokia X7 Full Throttle Tournament, inviting gaming fanatics to face off on Need for Speed using the new Nokia X7, starting from July 07 to August 07 across 8 cities in 150 Nokia retail outlets. The tournament comprises two phases, an on ground leg and an online phase on facebook.com/nokiaindia. All that consumers need to do is either visit a participating Nokia outlet or the online page, register him/herself and play away. The top 10 participants, who will be chosen on the basis of the total online and on ground scores, will win an all-expense paid trip and a ticket each to the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore being held on September 25 this year.

"Not only have we preloaded the Nokia X7 with the popular games Asphalt 5 HD and Galaxy on Fire HD, but our customers can now enjoy a whole bunch of other software improvements through Symbian Anna. Browsing and page downloading is faster, and Ovi Maps is enhanced with search features, public transportation routes and check-ins for various social networks. Typing texts and emails is also much easier with the vertical Qwerty and split-screen view that Symbian Anna offers."

The device has a large 4-inch AMOLED display, capacitive touchscreen and 8-mega pixel camera. The Nokia X7 is a combination of stainless steel and glass. It is slim, sleek and lightweight and comes in dark steel and light steel colours. The Nokia X7 is available with Nokia Priority Stores at an MRP of Rs.22,829/- under an easy payment scheme and pay for it in three equal monthly installments at 0% interest. The new Nokia X7 is also bundled with a special offer from Idea which enables1GB of 3G data for just Rs.297/-. The offer is applicable for both pre-paid and post-paid customers on Nokia X7. Consumers on a pre-paid connection can recharge with Rs. 297/- and consumers on post-paid connections can sms "PK297" to 1234 to activate the offer.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications.
