Samsung introduces Super-Light N100 Netbook

Samsung has launched N100 Netbook in India. Containing an Intel Atom processor within a highly portable ultra-durable casing, the N100 is the answer for users looking for a simple, practical and connected device to use on the go.

"The N100's design is based on our tremendously successful N150P Netbook, which has sold over 3 million units to date. The N100 Netbook demonstrates Samsung's continued innovation while delivering superior quality, mobility and satisfaction to our customers. The N100 continues our line of high-quality Netbooks and represents superb value for money," said Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Samsung Mobile & IT.

Weighing 1.03kg, the integration of Samsung's scratch-resistant Duracase ensures the Samsung N100 is durable and robust. N100 features an anti-reflective 10.1" LED display which contains a matt surface designed to reduce "mirror effect". The screen is also more resistant to scratching. The N100 is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom processor, which combined with an Intel GMA 3510 graphics processor delivers a swift, responsive experience. The Intel Atom processor is also energy-efficient. Power reduction is reduced by up to 50 times.

The Samsung N100 Netbook is priced at Rs.12,290/- and is available in black or white colours.

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs.
