Cisco buys Versly
Cisco Systems Inc has bought Versly to develop its own collaboration software capabilities instantly available from within Microsoft Office documents.The Company did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition.Versly consolidates with Word, Excel and PowerPoint, making it easy for groups to stay organized and on track.
Murali Sitaram, Vice-President & General Manager, CSG, Cisco, said, "Collaboration is a top priority at Cisco. With this acquisition, we are enhancing our collaboration offerings and improving the user experience by integrating social technologies within the business applications individuals and teams use at work."
The existing collaboration technology of Cisco consists of online meeting service WebEx. The Company admits to integrate Versly technology with its own products.
