EastLink bundles with Ericsson for Mobile Broadband Network
Ericsson has signed a four-year agreement as the sole vendor for EastLink's core and radio access networks, using HSPA+ and next-generation technologies. Ericsson will deploy its multi-standard radio base station; RBS 6000, circuit switched and packet networks including Evolved Packet Core and Operation Support Systems, as well as providing professional services.
Ericsson invested more than 350 million Canadian dollars in Canada in 2010 and ranks as one of the top R&D investors in the country. Approximately 85 per cent of all mobile calls in Canada are served by Ericsson.
