HP launches Notebook PCs

Hewlett-Packard (HP) India introduced sleek, ultra-portable notebooks and accessories. HP also furthered its "FORGE" design framework for business users with the HP ProBook m-series and EliteBook p-series models. The "FORGE" design framework stands for "Form, Optimized, Richness, Green, Endurance" and based on this framework, the designs are simpler looking, durable, reliable, and built in an environmentally friendly way.

The HP EliteBook 2560p sports a thin, clamshell form factor with a lightweight, 12.5-inch (31.8 cms) diagonal LED-backlit HD 16-inch x 9-inch display. It also allows for pen use or finger touch. Both EliteBook models offer second-generation Intel Core i7 or i5 dual-core processors, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 and vPro technology. They also feature full-size 7200 RPM hard drives and Solid State Drives (SSDs).

HP notebooks also offer HP QuickWeb 3.0, HP Power Assistant, HP Connection Manager, HP ProtectTools and HP Fingerprint Sensor, in addition to SRS Premium Sound which provides optimized audio settings for voice and multimedia applications. The new HP 2560p Docking Station offers four USB ports, eSATA, DisplayPort and VGA ports for added connectivity to peripherals and compatibility with an array of video devices. The notebooks range from Rs.40,000 - Rs.80,000 and are currently available in India. Pricing and availability for the HP 2560p Docking Station will be announced at a later date.
