IBM India wins Golden Peacock HR Excellence Award 2011

IBM India was awarded 'Golden Peacock HR Excellence Award' for the year 2011 in the IT sector. The award is in recognition of the overall effectiveness of HR and people management practices at IBM, contributing to the needs of the business, profession, employees, industry and the nation.

The category for HR excellence received 129 applications across different sectors and was scrutinized by a three-tier assessment process by a panel of experts comprising of seven training and management experts. Each application was further reviewed by two assessors independently and then discussed by a special committee for normalization of assessments/ reviews.

The applications were gauged on a set of parameters covering all areas related to HR strategy, recruitment, leadership development, volunteering activities, and the like, on a total score card of 1000 marks. The applicant scoring the highest among each of the respective industrial categories were recommended to the Jury. IBM India was adjudged a winner by the jury headed by Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission.
