Infotech, IIT-H signs pact

Infotech Enterprises Ltd has signed an agreement with Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H) to facilitate the institute's students to get exposure to live projects and scope to get internships. Infotech would also help in designing the curriculum for under-graduate and post-graduate programmes in order to enable the institute align with industry requirements. The agreement, signed by B.V.R Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech Enterprises and Prof. U.B. Desai, Director of IIT, would help Infotech and IIT to conduct joint research and development and consultancy projects.

"Strong R&D capabilities and quality technical talent would be the key differentiators for success of the engineering services industry in the highly competitive world. We need to create a strong eco-system for the industry and the academia to cooperate for the benefit of all stake holders - students, faculty, industry and society," Reddy said.
