Tech Data aligns with IBM to offer Cloud Solutions

Tech Data has announced that it will distribute a range of IBM cloud computing hardware and software products and services to resellers under a deal announced by the two companies. Tech Data will provide the IBM offerings, including the IBM Smart Business Cloud and Smart Business desktop on the IBM Cloud services, through the distributor's TDCloud business.

"Tech Data has aligned with IBM to offer cloud solutions that enable resellers to implement a private cloud, as well as offer them the opportunity to sell IBM public cloud services such as Smart Cloud Enterprise and Managed Backup Cloud," said Chuck Bartlett, Vice-President & General Manager, Advanced Infrastructure Solutions, Tech Data.

"Our relationship with Tech Data is a key factor for our successful alignment with IBM and choosing them as our primary software partner. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
