Freescale Technology Forum India opens in Bengaluru

Freescale Semiconductor has kicked off the 7th edition of the annual Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) India at The Leela Palace in Bengaluru with more than 1,400 attendees. The annual two-day event is a platform for innovation for the embedded computing executive community. It provides an opportunity for the design community to meet and explore the latest innovations in embedded design and exchange ideas with industry experts from around the world.

The theme for this year's FTF is "Powering Innovation". FTF showcases not only the comprehensive, market-focussed spectrum of enablement solutions but also the ecosystem of partnerships needed to help developers innovate and accelerate their time to market. The event drew record participation this year and the venue sold out.

"The essence of what Freescale brings to the industry is innovative embedded processing solutions. While a good strategy is important and critical, the ability to evolve that strategy and execute on it is about people and leadership, and I think we have a team that is absolutely world-class across all of the dimensions of the business," said Rich Beyer, Chairman & CEO, Freescale.

Hugh Herr, athlete, scientist, innovator, futurist and director, Biomechatronics Research Group, MIT Media Lab, said, "The Freescale Technology Forum is a great platform for nurturing innovation. The kind of work done at Freescale touches everyday lives of millions worldwide and is instrumental in improving the quality of life, be it in the fields of medical care, automotive, safety or connectivity. I am delighted to be part of FTF India."
