'What's Happening?' Twitter
VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE
Twitter has introduced its own photo-sharing tool, which allows users to add images to their tweets. The feature first began dribbling out to users after it was introduced in June. Users will now find a camera icon on the bottom of the 'What's Happening?" box on Twitter.com. Clicking it will let users select a picture to upload, which they can then preview before sending it to the world. Tweets containing photos include a link to pic.twitter.com, along with a thumbnail of the attached picture.Twitter's photo-sharing is powered by Photo bucket, which will host all uploaded images. Photos can be up to 3 MB. Depending on their size, they may affect the amount of text, usually up to 140 characters, that the user can tweet. The photo feature isn't yet available for mobile users. Apple's new mobile OS features Twitter integration, essentially making it the default social network for iOS users. Users will be able to share photos via Twitter in iOS 5.
