Asus unveils latest Wireless Home Digital Interface technology

Asus has unveiled its latest Wireless Home Digital Interface technology to wirelessly connect and stream Full HD visuals and high quality audio from a PC to an HDTV or external display.

Sanjay Aggarwal, Dy General Manager, Rashi Peripherals, said, "Asus has always been first to innovate the new idea and come out with world class product. Mostly notebooks now-a- days has an HDMI port and one can also find a HDMI port TV at homes, there was demand for a device which can wirelessly stream notebook contents with audio directly to the TV. We are giving demo units to partners so that they can further share hands on experience with their customers. This will help customer to understand the product and utility in his/her daily life and how productivity can be enhanced".

WiCast wirelessly streams content in Full HD quality from a user's HDMI out laptop/PC to a bigger HDMI input display such as LED TV, Plasma TV and Projector etc. The device features a user-friendly interface and is priced affordably. It allows users to view and share high definition quality multimedia and web content. With multimedia becoming more important in classroom instruction as well as in displaying presentations in an office setting, the WiCast is an ideal solution for both the business and education sector.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
