Atom technologies recognized with India SME Innovation Awards

Atom technologies has been recognized with 'India SME Innovation Awards-2011' for Innovative Payment Solution for SMEs. This award was presented to Dewang Neralla, Director& CEO, atom technologies, during the 17th Foundation Day of the Chamber and the 'India SME Leadership Summit' organised jointly by the Chamber and India International Trade Centre (IITC-INDIA) on August 26, 2011.

Neralla said, "Atom's innovative solutions have enabled businesses, especially small merchants and enterprises, to lower costs on distributions and collections by allowing customers to directly pay using their cards or bank accounts and also resulted in higher footfalls for them. With this award, we reinstate our pledge to leverage the power of technology for bringing about social as well a financial inclusion by providing a cost-effective and user-friendly digital platform for making and collecting payments."

Chandrakant Salunkhe, President, SME Chamber of India and India International Trade Centre (IITC-India) said, "I congratulate atom technologies and Dewang Neralla for winning this award, which recognises successful and outstanding SME leaders and their achievements in various sectors. Atom technologies is helping small industries to reduce their cost overheads by providing alternate cost-effective, yet safe and secure, channels for payment collections."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
