AutoCAD debuts Its New Products for Mac OS X Lion

Autodesk has debuted a range of new AutoCAD products built for the Mac OS X Lion, AutoCAD 2012 for Macand AutoCAD WS for Mac software. AutoCAD 2012 for Mac was built specifically for the Lion OS and helps users create designs on their platform of choice. AutoCAD WS for Mac enables users to view and collaborate on DWG files through the Mac interface. In addition, AutoCAD WS users can plot DWG files to PDF or DWFx formats and sync with their cloud-based AutoCAD WS account, making files accessible from their AutoCAD WS mobile app. AutoCAD WS for Mac is available exclusively in the Mac App Store.

Bringing AutoCAD for Mac 2012 and AutoCAD WS to the Mac shows our continued commitment to making design more accessible for an ever-greater number of people to shape the world around them," said Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice-President, Autodesk Platform Solutions and Emerging Business.

AutoCAD for Mac 2012 software includes 2D and 3D design tools, 3D free-form modelling capabilities, 3D visualization and rendering, network licensing, advanced customization of the menus, support for LISP and ObjectARX and ObjectDBX applications and more..

Like the popular AutoCAD WS mobile app Autodesk released last September, AutoCAD WS for Mac is a simple, free app providing basic, intuitive tools for viewing, editing and sharing designs. Through its synchronous co-editing feature, users may also collaborate on designs across multiple platforms - desktop, mobile and web. By delivering professional design and documentation software native for Mac OS X via the Mac App Store, Autodesk is helping professionals find design software for all their needs. Autodesk has done an incredible job bringing their apps to the Mac. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
