Compuage launches Odyssey Neo 700 RB UPS

Odyssey India has launched a new range of UPS - Odyssey Neo 700 RB.

With a capacity of 600VA, the Neo 700 RB has a protection of over 120% in 4 seconds and an AC output voltage of 220 VAC. It has a battery type of 12V, sealed maintenance-free SMF battery. The battery's typical recharge time is 6 hours for recharge of 90% of full capacity and it boasts of a life for one year.

The UPS has a dimension of 143x101x301 mm (l x w x d) and a weight of approximately 4.6 kg. It has audible alarm indicators for various conditions such as backup mode, battery low, overload and fault. The UPS can tolerate a non-condensing relative humidity of up to 95%.

The Odyssey Neo 700 RB UPS is priced at Rs.2,899/- and is available ex-stock. The product comes with 2 years warranty for the UPS and 1 year warranty on the battery. Moreover, the product has service support across India and has onsite service support in city limits. Sales are routed through a channel comprising of 400-plus distributors and 10,000-plus dealers spread across the country.

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs.
