VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE

Datamatics Global Services (DGSL) is to set up a Centre of Excellence centre at Puducherry next month. This will be the company's 5th delivery centre in the country and the third in southern India after Chennai & Bangalore. The Puducherry centre is to have a seating capacity of 700 people and will primarily deliver the Online, Publishing, and Retail Solutions (OPRS) of the company.

The new centre claims to support the Company's continued expansion plan and increased focus on OPRS solution offerings for the global community of publishers and retailers. The OPRS division of Datamatics delivers a wide array of skill based services as well as IT based solutions. These range from digital publishing & online content services to IT based content management, eBooks, web application & analytics, mobile apps development and ecommerce solutions.
Rahul Kanodia, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Datamatics Global Services Limited said, "Datamatics started its journey in southern India at Chennai in 2003 with a 30 member delivery centre and today, close to 400 professionals deliver OPMS solutions from this centre. The highly talented and motivated professionals in Chennai have not only led to the success of our OPRS business but also convinced us to extend our footprint in southern India. Today, more than 50% of software professionals come from tier 2 and tier 3 cities but have to migrate to metros for want of better job opportunities. I am certain that our Puducherry centre will offer aspirants from this region a healthy work life balance."
