HP offers slew of products & services

Hewlett-Packard's Imaging and Printing Group has unveiled a slew of products and services to cater the need of home users and small-to-medium business segments.

HP has rolled the laser-jet printer - HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275, targeting the micro and small businesses. Its India launch is to take place early next year. Three new laser-jet printers - HP LaserJet Pro 100 Colour MFP M175nw is priced at $349; HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601, M602 and M603 printer series is priced at $699, $899, $1399, respectively; and HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 colour M551 series were also introduced and will be available from November. ScanJet Enterprise 8500fn1 Document Capture Workstation is priced at $3,199 has also been launched for workgroups with high-volume scanning needs. This will also made available in the market in November. HP Officejet Pro8600 Plus e-All-in-One and HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter is priced at $299 and $149, respectively.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
