Latitude gets New Members!

Dell has expanded its Latitude series with the Latitude XT3 laptop. Whether at your desk or on the move, this new XT3 lets you work almost anywhere. It offers an ideal balance between usable workspace and mobility.

It is an enterprise-grade laptop with large 13.3" HD display, and easy conversion between laptop and tablet modes. Building on the success of Latitude E-Family, Dell has come out with Latitude XT3, with Intel Core i5-2520M (2.5GHz, 3M cache) with Turbo Boost Technology and 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM, that includes WiMAX and mobile broadband.

Latitude XT3 offers ExpressCharge, 80% recharge in an hour, battery options with a 9-cell extended battery and slice option for all-day power. The pricing for the Latitude XT3 starts at just under Rs.1,00,000. It is protected from four corners with strong magnesium alloy, with a spill-resistant keyboard, and a Tri-metal design that stands up to tough defense-grade, MIL-STD-810G testing for dust, vibration and extreme temperature.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
