RCom gets multi-crore HDFC Bank data centre deal

Reliance Communications has taken a Rs. 1,400-crore contract from HDFC Bank for building and managing a data centre. HDFC Bank is to be the anchor customer for RCom's new 3.5 lakh sq ft data centre facility in New Bombay which is to be operational within the next 12 months.

Punit Garg, President & CEO, "RCom's global enterprise business has termed this 15-year data centre outsourcing deal as 'the largest in the Asia-Pacific region till date."
