Sandisk announces Suite of Retail Products

SanDisk has unveiled new retail products and introduced a new preservation solutions category.

"Our flash storage solutions help consumers capture more photos, load their mobile apps faster, share exciting moments with friends and preserve their memories for generations to come," said Manisha Sood, Country Manager & Director, India and SAARC SanDisk Corporation.

SanDisk introduced a new product SanDisk Memory Vault to preserve images in their original quality for up to 100 years. The SanDisk Memory Vault comes in 8 gigabyte (3GB) and 16GB capacities carrying MSRPs of Rs.3,499/- to Rs.5,499/-.

In the product lineup, SanDisk also created 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I Card which features up to 95MB/sec read speeds. SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC and SDXC UHS-I cards come in 8GB to 64GB capacities with MSRPs at Rs.2,199/- to Rs.16,299/-.moreover, SanDisk's new 64GB SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC Card is the UHS-based card features up to 30MB/sec4 transfer speeds. The card is compatible with any tablet or smartphone equipped with a microSDXC card slot. SanDisk Mobile Ultra cards comes in 4GB to 64GB capacities with MSRPs at Rs.899/- to Rs.14,799/- .

SanDisk's new Cruzer Fit USB flash drive comes in 4GB to 16GB capacities with MSRPs at Rs.249/- to Rs.749/- .Whereas, SanDisk's Cruzer Switch USB flash drive features a cap-less, slider-less, flip-top design and comes in 2GB to 64GB capacities with MSRPs at Rs.499/- to Rs.2,699/-.

SanDisk SecureAccess Software offers online backup features on almost all of its retail USB drives. The software creates a password-protected private vault on the drive. Sandisk's last product in the lineup is ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Reader/Writer, Based on USB 3.0 interface transfer performance of up to 500MB/s and is Outfitted with four card slots, this compact solution supports all card formats and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0-enabled devices. The reader/writer carries an MSRP of Rs.2,799/-.

Therefore, the Cruzer Fit and Cruzer Switch USB Flash Drives are available now. The other new products will be available by quarter four of this year.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
