Belkin India has launched a portable charging device called The Belkin Power Pack. With the booming market of mobile phone subscribers in India, and maximum people using their mobile phones for music, browsing and various other battery consuming applications, Belkin Power Packs claims to be a one stop solution for charging their devices.

It is believed to be ideal for powering and charging MP3 players, Smart phones, Bluetooth devices, portable gaming systems and other USB rechargeable electronics, The Belkin Power Pack allows users to charge their phones/tablets even when no charging points are available. This wonder device is said to be designed to facilitate convenience while charging. It is accompanied with a 6 inch micro USB to USB cable that allows users to use their gadgets even while they are being charged. The Power Packs has StorageSafe feature that allows it to hold charge for many months, allowing it to lose only 5% charge each month.

The Power Pack is available in three models, designed as per user's requirements. The Power Pack 1000 uses a 1000 mAh, suitable for mobile phones. The Power Pack 2000 uses a 2000 mAh battery and fully charges the Smartphone. The Power Pack 4000 uses a 4000 mAh battery, can fully charge the Smartphone or rapid charge the Tablet. The Power Pack also has LED indicators that display charge status.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
