eBay India reveals its Battle of Gadgets 2011

eBay India (www.ebay.in) has announced the eBay India Battle of Gadgets2011 which ranks India's most popular gadget purchases online over a 12-month period based on an analysis of all eBay transactions in the electronics category. The research report showcases interesting trends of India's Top Gadget Cities, Models and Brands across seven popular gadget categories of Laptops, Cameras, Mobile Phones, Televisions, Gaming Consoles, Pen Drives and MP3 Players.

B. Muralikrishnan, Country Manager, eBay India, said, "Gadgets have always been very popular on eBay India with as much as 50% of all transactions coming from the electronics category. We see a great demand for gadgets from consumers across both metros and tier-II and tier-III cities. We believe that the rankings of popular gadgets from eBay Battle of the Gadgets 2011 will be a useful guide to gadget shoppers across the country."

eBay Battle of the Gadgets 2011 research findings were based on an analysis of all online gadget purchases by Indians on eBay between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
