Edimax introduces iQ Setup

EDIMAX Technology has introduced its router feature called iQ Setup. The smart iQ Setup is a new feature of Edimax routers that allows even the most inexperienced users to set up an Edimax router with iPhone or a computer quick and effortlessly. With iQ Setup, most of the setup process is done automatically. Little to no configuration is required on the user's part and no installation of CD is necessary. Edimax routers to be implemented with iQ Setup in Q4 2011 include BR-6228nS, BR-6228nC, BR-6258n, and BR-6428nS, respectively.

iQ Setup is designed with smart technology that allows it to detect one's Internet connection type automatically and complete most of the required configuration for you. After the appropriate cable connections are made, all you need to do is to open your iPhone or computer's web browser and iQ Setup will start detecting your Internet connection type automatically. There is no need to log in the router's configuration interface with an IP address and no installation of CD is required. iQ Setup will determine whether your connection type is dynamic IP, PPPoE, or other types, and ask for required information when necessary. iQ Setup will complete the setup process by helping you establish a secure Wi-Fi network. With Edimax iQ Setup, all the most important parts of setting up a router can be done quickly, effortlessly and automatically.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
