Atempo has announced its social initiative, which is sponsoring the Archival Pavilion at Broadcast India 2011. Since 1991, the Broadcast India Show has represented the subcontinent's broadcast and entertainment industry, showcasing all aspects of the infotainment industry -from Television, Film, Audio, Radio, IPTV and Mobile TV to Computer Graphics, Visual Effects, Multimedia, Music, Lights, Cable, Satellite, Broadband, Internet, Transmission and more.

This year the highlight at the Archival Pavilion at Broadcast India 2011, has been on the latest advancements in archival solutions with emphasis on how archival solutions enable content owners to monetize their video content on new distribution platforms, going beyond traditional broadcast and cable distribution to reach the Direct-to-Home (DTH), Internet and mobile markets. These effective archival solutions serve all media workflows, from production to post-production to broadcast to service providers, and are integrated directly into the applications for those workflows, such as edit suites, media asset management (MAM) and other data and storage management solutions. The Archival Pavilion highlights solutions from a variety of software and hardware vendors that support this integrated archival approach for the Media & Entertainment industry.

Kamal Gulati, Head of Atempo India Operations said, "In conjunction with sponsorship of the Archival Pavilion, Atempo is promoting the social campaign aimed at reducing car litter, a major cause of pollution, diseases and dirty metropolitan areas. "The 'Don't Throw from the Car to the Street' campaign is part of our corporate social responsibility, our way of giving back to society. It aligns with our request to Media & Entertainment organisations that they not throw their valuable content away, but instead archive it for the future." Litter bags for cars are being distributed to all Broadcast India 2011 visitors, along with car stickers for people to show their support for the cause."
