Comviva offers Cloud based Messaging & Data Solutions Globally

Comviva has announced that its cloud based messaging and data solution will soon go live globally. This announcement is said to allow medium/small sized operators in Latin America, Africa and South East Asia to soon experience Comviva's cloud based messaging and data solution.

Comviva will use the cloud to reach out to small/medium sized operators and MVNOs to enhance their VAS infrastructure using an affordable pay-as-you-use model. Operators will be able to select services on demand, connect to their existing network infrastructure, and reduce turnaround time in delivering new services while giving them the ability to scale and grow as needed. Adding the Software as a Service (SaaS) approach to its existing delivery models allows Comviva to provide rapid and cost effective responses to the market challenges faced by operators.

Vikram Shanbhag, Vice President of Messaging Solutions, Comviva, said "The potential for the cloud model to simplify the operational life of the operator is immense. We introduced a cloud-based messaging platform for our customers as it can transform operator's ability to respond to the market - without having to worry about lengthy ROI planning or CAPEX. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
