Cyberoam appoints distributor for UTM Appliances in SAARC Region

Cyberoam has appointed Cyberstar International, Singapore as distributor for its UTM appliance range across key countries in SAARC -Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan. A stocking facility has been prepared in Singapore for the same which will ensure faster delivery of products. With this move, Cyberoam is all set to strengthen its existing relationship with corporate and enterprise customers in the SAARC region, thus poised to capture a bigger market share.

Hemal Patel, CEO Elitecore Technologies, said, "The idea of appointing a SAARC distributor came because we wanted to work with a Value Added Distributor (VAD), who could help us in getting more and more partners on board. We are a channel-centric company and after evaluating a few of the VADs, we found Cyberstar more promising. Its network in the entire region will definitely help us in the long run."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
