Fujitsu, FalconStor enters into Worldwide Reseller Agreement

FalconStor Software Inc. has entered into a worldwide reseller agreement with Fujitsu Limited (Fujitsu) solutions for the global marketplace. The combination of FalconStor software with Fujitsu storage is believed to enhance Fujitsu's comprehensive solutions to serve the evolving storage management needs of its customers.

Fujitsu and its affiliates worldwide is to resell the FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS) storage virtualization and management solution in conjunction with its ETERNUS DX disk storage systems, using FalconStor NSS software bundled with Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers. The combined FalconStor/Fujitsu solutions is said to support flexible storage virtualization in multi-vendor storage environments. In addition, a new data migration service powered by FalconStor NSS will be offered by Fujitsu Professional Services and third-party professional services organizations that are partnered with Fujitsu.

Fujitsu is to sell FalconStor NSS bundled as gateway appliances with Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers. Fujitsu has certified FalconStor NSS for use with all Fujitsu storage, including Fujitsu ETERNUS DX disk storage systems, as well as third-party storage arrays, enabling Fujitsu customers to integrate new and legacy storage systems into a single virtual SAN with built-in business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
