Wynncom unveils W-Series Handsets

Wynncom has launched a range of six new low cost mobile phones - W401, W403, W257, W259, W352 and W355 Sonic. All these handsets features Bluetooth, Dual SIM, MP3/ MP4, High Battery Life, Video recording facility, and Mobile tracking facility. And, all these mobiles are available below Rs. 2600 each.

Arvind Vohra, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Wynn Telecom said, "The feature packed W401, W403, W257, W259, W352 and W355 Sonic are designed to be the best sellers. Two of them, namely W401 & W403, are powered with the revolutionary 'Lithium Polymer battery' - which is safer, much smaller, light weight, and more power saving than lithium - Ion or any other battery. Though these are priced as entry level phones, they are packed with features such as High Battery Life, Big Display, 1.3 Mega pixel Camera, Dual SIM, and MP4 video players, making them excellent phones."

Pitched as Lithium Polymer battery handsets, both Wynncom W401 & W403 mobile phones offer a Battery Backup of 55 Days and a Talk time of 35 hrs, apart from a Mobile Tracker, 3000 mAh Battery and the standard features like Big Color Displays (2.4" in W401 & 2.6" in W403), 4GB Expandable Memory, FM Radio with Recording facility, and a Phonebook that can store 500 contacts. The only small difference, however, is the price - while W401 has a price tag of Rs. 2399, W403 costs Rs. 2599.

Model W257 is supposed to give a Battery Backup of 22 Days and a Talk time of 12 hours, and comes with 2.0 inch Color Display, Mobile Tracker and 1500 mAh Battery. The handset is available in black & red colours and comes with the price tag of Rs.1890.

Model W259 is said to give a Battery Backup of 30 Days and a Talk time of 16 hours, and comes with 2.0 inch Color Display, Mobile Tracker, and 1800 mAh Battery. This handset can be had in blue & black colours with a price of Rs. 1949.

The other two models W352 Magic & W355 Sonic offer a Battery Backup of 30 Days and a Talk time of 8 hrs , and comes with 2.0 inch QVGA TFT, 3.5 mm Music Jack in common. The differences are in the battery specification (1800 mAH Battery as in W352 and 1320 mAH Battery in W355), colours of the handset (black-red combination in W352 Magic and black-red & golden-red in W355 Sonic) and are priced at Rs. 2145 for W352 Magic & Rs. 2075 for W355 Sonic.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
